Get a Library CardHow to get a library card
Library cards are available to those of any age, although parents must co-sign for children under age 14. Library cards may be used for sign-in to library computers, reserve items, register for free computer classes, and, of course, check out books and materials. You will be held responsible for any item checked out with your library card. You may be eligible for a library card under certain guidelines established by the Library Board of Trustees. Library cards are free to individuals and businesses in Anderson City, Anderson, Stony Creek and Union townships. Simply present photo identification with your current address to the checkout desk to receive your free card. Acceptable forms of photo identification are drivers license, state ID card, passport, military ID, school ID or employment ID that includes name and photo. Acceptable forms of identification for proof of address are a driver's license, utility bill, personalized checks, voter registration, student identification with official class schedules, or proof of property ownership in Anderson City, Anderson, Stony Creek or Union Townships.
