Click here for information about our iPads and laptops that are available for checkout.The Main Library has more than 60 computer workstations and an ADA (American Disabilities Act) computer station on the first floor. The workstations are available to library customers during normal library hours, with exception of brief scheduled training sessions. Additional computers are located on the second floor in the Indiana Room (reserved for genealogy research only) and the Children's Department (reserved for children ages 12 and under). Library guests without an APL card can request a temporary guest login for computer access. Our public desktop computers run Windows 7. All of our computers are equipped with USB ports, and many have DVD-ROM burning capability. Software available on the computers include:
PrintingThere are several printing stations throughout the Main Library: two print stations on the first floor, one in the Indiana Room, and one in the Children's Department. Library customers have the option to print documents in either Black and White ($0.10 per page) or Color ($1.00 per page). You may also print from your laptop or other mobile device using the APL wireless network. ScanningThe Main Library has two public scanning stations for scanning documents or pictures. Stations are located on the first floor near the copy machines and on the second floor in the Indiana Room. The scanners may be used free of charge. Customers have several options when using the scanner: scan and send via email, scan and save to USB drive, or scan and send to printer (normal printing fees apply).
